Des Moines Kettlebell Club
A friend of mine just started a kettle bell club in Des Moines so I thought I’d check it out. Within five minutes I quickly realized I was out of shape. Anyway, the kettlebell is a pretty cool workout tool. Because of it’s design and shape, it’s easy to incorporate into your workout.
If I could recommend one thing, don’t let you macho ego pick out the weights when you work out with kettlebells. I thought I was a pretty tough dude until I realized 25lb. kettlebells are super heavy after five minutes of lifting them constantly.

How is your attitude?
So one of the things I enjoy is photography. I used to own a photography studio with some friends of mine. Anywhoo, I shoot real estate photography now with Iowa Home Photo. It’s so much easier to take photos of real estate than taking pictures of five-year old snotty kids who don’t want to smile.
So, I was shooting a house today and my customer starting going off on one of my competitors. There’s nothing more I enjoy than hearing how bad my competitors suck. It wasn’t about his photography though, it was about the way he conducted his business. While I wanted so bad to jump in and rail on my competition, I chose not to. It’s funny too because I know this company has said untrue things about myself. I’ve always felt if I bad-mouth my competition it reflects poorly on me. My exact words were “That’s too bad. I know they take great photos. It’s stinks they’re treating you that way.”
I think when people aren’t confident in there own abilities they resort to bad-mouthing. They don’t believe enough in their own work so they have to put others down to make themselves feel better. I must admit I used to be this way too until I read the book The One Minute Millionaire by Hansen and Allen. One of the techniques they recommend is to wear a rubber band on your wrist. Whenever you think of anything negative, just pull it and snap yourself on your wrist. Sooner or later you’ll get to a point where you associate the negative thoughts with the pain of snapping your wrist and you will start being more positive. I tried it for two weeks and it worked for me.
So, what would you have done? Would you have jumped on the opportunity to bash your competitor or would have taken the high road?
The King Of Affiliate Marketing
If you’re looking into get the affiliate marketing world you need to check out Jeremy Schoemaker, aka “Shoemoney.” I’ve been following Shoemoney on his personal blog, www.shoemoney.com, for four years now and I’ve learned so much. From marketing in general, to affiliate marketing, Jeremy doesn’t hold back on how he really feels. What I love about what he does is that he just doesn’t talk about what he’s done. He’ll actually show you the techniques he’s used for a campaign and then will show you the results. Pretty amazing for a segment that likes to do a lot of talking and not back it up with any evidence of their success.

The Best Steak Seasoning
Do you love steak? If you’re like most Iowans then the answer is most definitely yes. We’re grown up to believe nothing is better than corn-fed Iowa beef. Living here most of my life I’d have to agree with that statement.
Anyway, a friend of mine who is also originally from California, just gave me some steak seasoning to try out. It’s called, Doug’s Last Wish Ultimate Steak Seasoning. I’m usually a Mrs. Dash kind of guy but I thought I’d give it a try. I tried it for the first time last night and I have to say, it really is the ultimate steak seasoning! I’m not a foodie by any means, I’m not going to describe it’s flavor like you see on the food networks, you know the kind: “I could taste a subtle hint of nutmeg bursting with a nutty essence.” I digress.
If you’re looking for the best steak seasoning around, shoot, if you’re looking for the ultimate steak seasoning there is, you need to check out Doug’s Last Wish Ultimate Steak Seasoning.
